With Manhattan's rapid westward expansion and the ongoing gentrification of Hell's Kitchen, 9th Avenue has experienced an explosion of trendy Thai and Asian fusion restaurants, most of which offer the usual range of conventional, mediocre dishes at highly inflated costs. Fortunately, Noodies is not one of those places. Located on 9th Ave between 54th and 55th streets, Noodies Thai Kitchen is small and quaint with a friendly and attentive staff, and most importantly excellent food at reasonable prices.

We highly recommend the Mushroom Dumplings, Tom Yum Noodle Soup, and Papaya Salad. Fair warning though, the Papaya Salad is quite spicy (as it should be) and is guaranteed to clear your sinuses. Most of the other dishes are well-seasoned and not overly spicy, but they fortunately bring a little tray with one jar each of jalapenos, dried peppers, and a spicy paste for those of us who like it hot!
Their food selection is complimented by a drink menu with options that range from conventional and domestic to exotic and imported. The Singha imported Thai lager in particular has a mild flavor with fresh and crisp notes that really compliment the spice of Thai food. If you are unsure what types of wines, cocktails, or beers would pair well with your food, the waitstaff is eager to offer suggestions.
And if you're lucky enough to live within range, Noodies delivers! Why not check it out yourself at Seamless (affiliate)?
